Amada Senior Care has sent caregivers to Brookdale Friendswood to assist our residents with one-on-one care many times! Whether it has been to accompany them on a special outing, getting the new resident settled in to new surroundings, or staying with them after a hospitalization. I have found the caregivers to be knowledgeable and courteous. Family members appreciate that William or Brent will meet with them to assist in planning for their loved ones care, and allowing them to ask questions or even meet the caregiver!
Senior Housing Advising
When a beloved senior is no longer able to live safely at home, families can easily become overwhelmed as they try to find the right assisted living environment to suit everybody’s needs. In addition to logistical factors such as location, level of care, and cost, there are more personal and emotional factors at play that make this process especially difficult. At Amada Senior Care Central Houston and Clear Lake, our years of experience combined with our commitment to providing compassionate support make us the ideal advisers to help families navigate the world of assisted living.
We are fortunate to have so many excellent senior living communities from which to choose in the Central Houston and Clear Lake area, but this can make the placement process even more daunting for our clients. To help them narrow down their choices, the first thing we do is evaluate a senior’s care needs. If a client requires on-site medical services, we help him or her look into nursing homes. For clients who are able to live a bit more independently but still could use help with some activities of daily living, an assisted living community may be a better fit.
Once we know what type of home will best suit a client’s needs, we can then further narrow our search by considering the client’s lifestyle, activity level, social preferences, and other factors that are key to their enjoyment of life. Since the Amada team has been advising seniors in this area for so many years, we have in-depth knowledge of nearly all of the senior living communities in and around Central Houston and Clear Lake. This allows us to truly customize our recommendations for each client and their family.
We realize that many of our clients and their families prioritize cost when looking into assisted living and that the financial implications of senior care can be daunting. However, it is our goal to make sure each of our clients gets the quality care he or she deserves. We can help families make the most of long-term care insurance, life insurance, veterans’ benefits, and other sources of funding to make it possible for seniors to live in the community of their choice.
At Amada Senior Care Central Houston and Clear Lake, we specialize in referrals for the following types of facilities:

Always BeClose with Home Care Technology
For so long, seniors who struggled with some activities of daily living had very few options: they could move to a care community, move in with their adult children, or bring in a home-care aide. Now, thanks to Amada Senior Care, there is a new option: with our BeClose system, seniors can live safely and independently at home while their loved ones keep a “virtual eye” on them.
BeClose is a home monitoring and remote care system that each family can customize to suit their particular needs. We offer products such as indoor and outdoor cameras, automated door locks, medication monitors, and emergency alerts that help seniors live safely at home while giving their loved ones peace of mind. The BeClose system provides real-time and comprehensive updates to family members through a secure and easy to use mobile app, and it also alerts families when potentially notable changes in routine or behavior take place.
At Amada, we understand that when the ones you love need you, you simply want to be close. Now you can BeClose—no matter where you go. To learn more about remote care with BeClose by Amada Senior Care, please contact us for a Free Care Needs Consultation.
Senior Care Assistance for Veterans
At Amada Senior Care, many of our clients in the Central Houston and Clear Lake area are military veterans. We are proud to serve these individuals who gave so much to serve our country, and are determined to make sure that they make use of all veterans’ resources to help them afford the best possible care. One program that has helped many of our clients is the VA Aid and Attendance benefit program, which provides monthly financial assistance to wartime veterans and their surviving spouses. Key Points of Aid and Attendance Eligibility:
- To qualify for Aid and Attendance benefits, applicants must have served a total of 90 days’ active duty, with at least one day served during wartime.
- Applicants must have anything but dishonorable discharge.
- Eligible veterans and spouses must currently need assistance with activities of daily living from another person.
- These activities may include support due to cognitive impairment or help with walking, bathing, eating, and other ADLs.
- The eligible veteran must spend the majority of his or her income on care.
- The benefits allotted will depend on the amount of income spent on care, up to a national maximum.
- The VA establishes an upper limit for applicants’ assets.
- This limit varies, and is determined in part by the applicant’s age and need.
It allows you more financial flexibility when deciding on the most appropriate care for your needs. VA Aid and Attendance benefits are paid to seniors in addition to military pensions. They are also:
- Tax exempt.
- Not required to be paid back as long as claimant remains eligible.
- Paid directly to claimants by the United States Treasury.
