It is also important that we involve our client’s loved ones in their lives and in their care, not only keeping them well informed but also encouraging them to call or visit.
At Amada, we know that it’s the small, personal touches that help our clients feel comfortable accepting care and welcoming us into their homes. After all, caring for seniors and making their lives safer and more enjoyable is more than just our job—it’s our passion.

I started working as a caregiver for this company this week. I stepped down from my lvn position to do something a little easier. The manager is very rude also the employees too. They play favoritism with there caregivers.
I started working as a caregiver which im a lvn so this wouldve been a easy job for me but the employees and management were so rude and disrespectful. The supervisor yells at the caregivers. The caregiver wear leggings which is very inappropriate for this profession. The caregivers will call to discuss personal things that have nothing to do with the clients on the clients cell phone. The supervisor sits down and lies and yells at her caregivers. I would never recommend this company.
My wife Stephanie's grandmother, Joyce, had a long-term care insurance policy and was desperately in need of a caregiver (she is having congestive heart failure and some other issues), but was having serious difficulty claiming on the policy to pay for her care. The owner of Amada Corona, Stuart, got on the phone with the long-term care insurance company and helped Joyce begin the process of activating her policy (so now she's able to pay for all the care she needs). They found the PERFECT caregiver for her, Maria, who only lives 3 miles away from Joyce's home in Apple Valley. Joyce can't stop talking about how great Maria is, and honestly, she really is an ideal caregiver for this situation. She's professional, responsive, well-trained and VERY attuned to Joyce's needs. Excellent, excellent company.
Senior Housing Advising
While most people may think of Amada Corona as an agency that provides in-home care for seniors, this is only part of what we do. If our home-care clients or even new clients feel that an assisted living environment may be more appropriate for them, we rely on our years of experience to help them find the ideal place and guide them through this important transition with compassion.
Our clients are fortunate to have access to a range of different senior housing options in and around Corona, but so many options can also make the selection process overwhelming. We have developed relationships with all of the most-respected senior communities in the area and can help seniors and their families narrow down their selections and find the perfect placement.
When helping our clients explore their residential senior care options, we first need to consider their level of need. For clients who need assistance with medications or complex medical services, nursing homes offer a higher level of support and may be more appropriate. Clients who simply need a little help with activities of daily living, however, may find an assisted living community provides them with a more active lifestyle.
Another key factor in the selection of a new care community is the cost. Many of our clients and their families doubt that they can afford the community of their choice, but that’s where we can help. We have extensive knowledge of non-traditional payment options including long-term care insurance and veterans’ benefits that our clients may not have taken full advantage of, and can help them effectively manage the financial aspects of senior care. We also offer our referral services free of charge.
As important as it is to find the right senior care community, it is equally important for us to help our clients and their families cope with the range of emotions that often accompany this transition. Knowing that they have the compassionate support of the Amada team often makes all the difference.
At Amada Senior Care Corona, everything is done with a personal touch—and senior housing placement is no exception. We help our clients and their families find a community that meets everyone’s needs regarding care, location, budget, and personal preferences. If you or your loved one is considering the move to assisted living, we can provide referrals to the following types of communities in the Corona area:
- Assisted living communities
- Large and small communities
- Independent living communities
- Board and care homes
- Adult family homes
- Senior care homes
- Skilled nursing facilities
- Alzheimer/dementia communities

Senior Care Assistance for Veterans
We are honored to care for a number of veterans at Amada Corona, and it is important to us that they take full advantage of government assistance to help them manage their senior care costs. The VA Aid and Attendance benefits program has been especially helpful to many Amada clients, and may help seniors afford more in-home care or their assisted living community of choice. If you would like to learn more about VA benefits for seniors and whether you or your loved one is eligible, Contact Amada for a Free Veteran’s Care Needs Consultation.
The Basics of VA Aid and Attendance Eligibility:
- To be eligible for these benefits, an applicant must have served at least 90 days’ active duty, with at least one of those days during wartime. Surviving spouses of veterans who meet these criteria may also be eligible.
- These benefits are not available to veterans after dishonorable discharge.
- Applicants must need help from another person to complete activities of daily living (ADLs).
- ADLs may include support due to cognitive impairment, bathing, walking, eating, and others.
- To qualify for these VA benefits, applicants must spend the majority of their income on care.
- Benefits awarded, up to a maximum, are determined by the amount of income spent on care.
- Applicants must not have assets that exceed a limit established by the VA.
- Key factors in the determination of this limit include applicants’ age and financial need.
VA Aid and Attendance benefits are awarded in recognition of and gratitude for service provided to our country during times of war. These benefits are:
- Not subject to repayment as long as claimant remains eligible.
- Paid dependably on a monthly basis directly to the claimant by the US Treasury.
