Eric understands, firsthand, what it feels like to watch a loved one face a difficult diagnosis. He watched his father decline quickly from Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, a rare condition that affects the brain. “I watched my mom become my dad’s caregiver and saw what it took out of her, physically and emotionally, while she tried to still be the loving wife she’d been for over 40 years,” Eric says. “If we’d understood the benefits of in-home caregivers at the time, I know we would have gotten through that transition more smoothly.”

We signed up with Amada Senior Care so that my Mom could have twice a day reminders for her medication needs. Mom fought me on this service at first, but it has worked out wonderfully. She enjoys the ladies that come to her apt and any time that I have been there, they have been prompt and courteous, but most of all kind and very engaged with Mom.

It is comforting knowing that these caregivers would tend to every need of my relative whether in the hospital or rehabilitation center setting. My plan is to schedule them again when my relative transitions to assisted living.
