Amada Senior Care East Bay
Angelo Oliva and Jean Gelpi are the owners of Amada Senior Care East Bay, and they see the excellent care they provide for our senior clients and their families as their way to make a positive difference in our community. The team at Amada East Bay has earned a reputation for providing quality senior care and senior care advisory services throughout Sacramento, Walnut Creek, Concord, Davis, West Sacramento, Woodland, Fairfield, Parkway, Clarksburg, and surrounding communities.
For Angelo and Jean, their commitment to supporting clients and their loved ones as they navigate senior care is more than just a job—it’s personal. Jean says, “A year-and-a-half ago, my mother was diagnosed with cancer and at the same time my grandmother was diagnosed with dementia. The burden, exhaustion, and frustration this caused for our whole family to make sure our grandmother was properly cared for was just unimaginable. If we had known of companies like Amada Senior Care, it would have definitely eliminated so much of the stress and helplessness we felt.” As a result of this and other personal experiences, Jean, Angelo, and the Amada East Bay team are dedicated to providing compassionate care to each one of our clients and their loved ones.
It is our goal to exceed our clients’ expectations at all times by making a pleasant experience out of even the most simple tasks. We have learned that this is only possible once we earn our clients’ trust and gain insight into their personal needs and preferences, which allows us to make truly meaningful impacts on their lives.

My Mom has been with this company for approximately five months. Angelo Oliva is very professional and very easy to talk to. He cares so much about you and your family member. The girls who have worked for my Mom are wonderful. They are very caring and extremely patient with my Mom. I would recommend this company to anyone that is in need of care for you or your loved ones.
I'm not one to write reviews, however the experience I've had with this company has been magnificent. From there initial assessment to the very end of my mothers beautiful life, Amada was always there. Thank you! G.Youngstone
We experienced several private caregivers throughout the years experiencing headache after headache. Very flakey and unreliable people. Seemed to be the norm. We finally decided to go with an agency, Amada was referred to us by my Physical Therapist. I want to thank Reggie from Alta Bates PT, (Our Angel) and the Amada Care Team. Mom needed someone special, and sure enough, an Angel was sent. It's been 6 months now, we couldn't be happier. We love you Amada girls. Barbara Louwen
Senior Housing Advising
Finding and transitioning to a senior community or assisted living environment can be overwhelming for seniors as well as for their loved ones. There are so many factors at play: changes in family roles, leaving a beloved home behind, cost concerns, and touring multiple facilities but never knowing which is right for your unique needs are just a few. Wouldn’t it be a relief to have an expert who knows you guide you through this process?
At Amada East Bay, this is what we do. When our clients are no longer thriving at home, we help them find the ideal community for their specific preferences, accompany them throughout the transition to their new homes, and even stay in touch afterwards to make sure we haven’t missed any opportunities to be of service to them.
In the East Bay and Sacramento areas, our clients have access to a multitude of senior living options, each offering differing levels of care. It is important that we work with seniors and their families to understand all of their care needs so that we can direct them to the proper setting. Some seniors may thrive in a skilled nursing environment where more hands-on support and complex medical services are available. Others may find that their needs are better met in an assisted living community where they can live more independently but still receive help with activities of daily living.
Fortunately for our clients, we have been working with the most highly rated senior communities in this area for years, so we have in-depth knowledge of each of these places that is far beyond what prospective residents learn during tours. With our guidance, seniors and their loved ones can find the ideal placement to meet their particular lifestyle, location, and and social needs.
Once we help clients find the right senior living environment, we also help them navigate the financial aspects of this life change. With our knowledge of non-traditional payment options including long-term care insurance and veterans’ benefits, we can help them find the best way to pay for the care they deserve.
At Amada East Bay, our goal is to support our clients and their loved ones through every aspect of senior care. We encourage our clients to rely on our expertise when they need referrals to the following types of senior care communities:
- Assisted living communities
- Large and small communities
- Independent living communities
- Board and care homes
- Adult family homes
- Senior care homes
- Skilled nursing facilities
- Alzheimer/dementia communities
Remote Care Technology so You can “BeClose”
At Amada, we have developed a revolutionary solution for seniors who wish to remain at home and the loved ones who worry about them. Our BeClose home monitoring system allows families to care for the seniors they love from anywhere, so seniors can remain independent and their loved ones can be confident in their safety.
BeClose is not just a single product, but a fully customized system. Clients select from a range of products, such as automated door locks, medication monitors, indoor and outdoor cameras, and monitors that instantly alert them to potential emergencies like fires, falls, or intruders. BeClose then provides real-time updates and reports to families through a secure mobile app. With BeClose, families are also notified of any changes in a senior’s routine or behavioral patterns so they can intervene if a need for more care arises. With Amada, you can literally BeClose to your loved ones, wherever you go! For more information on BeClose and remote care options, contact Amada for a Free Care Needs Consultation.
