Amada Senior Care Farmington Hills
Kevin Manuel and Greg Hines are the owners of Amada Senior Care Farmington Hills, and they have hand-picked each of the caregivers on their team so ensure that each of our clients receives the highest level of compassionate care. The quality of care provided by Amada caregivers has earned a favorable reputation throughout Southeast Michigan, including Farmington Hills, Southfield, Rochester Hills, West Bloomfield, Dearborn Heights, Livonia, Canton, Ann Arbor, Novi, and beyond.
Kevin says that his own experiences with senior care motivate him on a daily basis, because he has seen first-hand the kind of impact loving care can make. He says, “A few years ago, my father-in-law had a series of surgeries and he also suffered a stroke. He was fortunate to have great care from family, and we were grateful to be able to provide that. We know what it’s like to care for family, and at Amada Farmington Hills, we treat you like you are one of our own.”
Part of what makes Amada Senior Care Farmington Hills so special is that every aspect of our care is personalized. We take the time to earn our clients’ trust and form emotional connections with them. This means that if in-home care is no longer ideal for clients, we help them find the best assisted living environment for their unique situations and guide them through the transition. Senior Housing Advising
For many families, there comes a day when beloved seniors require more assistance than a home-care environment can provide. At Amada Senior Care Farmington Hills, we understand that each family struggles with unique concerns and emotions as they begin to consider assisted living. We are here to guide them through the entire process with expertise and compassion to they feel confident in achieving the best possible outcome.
As a family begins to investigate a residential care placement for a senior, they quickly learn that there are different levels of care facilities. For seniors who require a higher level of care, a nursing home that provides complex medical services may be the best option. Seniors who don’t require as much assistance may thrive in an assisted living community where they can get support with basic activities of daily living but still remain relatively independent.
Once we find the right type of care community to help seniors stay safe and healthy, we can then fine-tune our search to identify the place where they will be happiest and most fulfilled. Since the Amada team serving Southeast Michigan is familiar with the best-rated senior communities in the area, we can direct clients to the ideal placement for their location needs, activity and lifestyle preferences, and budgets.
In addition to our expert knowledge of the assisted living options throughout Southeast Michigan, we are also experts at helping families afford the senior care their loved ones deserve. We can help you take advantage of long-term care insurance, life insurance, veterans’ benefits, and other funding to make the placement of your dreams a reality.
When in-home care ceases to be the best option for our clients, we help them find and transition to a senior living community where they can thrive. We specialize in providing referrals to communities such as:
- Assisted living communities
- Large and small communities
- Independent living communities
- Board and care homes
- Adult family homes
- Senior care homes
- Skilled nursing facilities
- Alzheimer/dementia communities

Veterans Assistance Programs
At Amada Senior Care Farmington Hills, we are experts at helping veterans take advantage of all government benefits available to help them afford quality care. Did you know that wartime veterans and their surviving spouses may be eligible to receive more than one-thousand dollars a month for care through the VA Aid and Attendance benefit program? We can help you pursue this and other benefits to make it easier to afford the care you deserve. For more information on benefits for senior veterans, contact Amada for a Free Veterans’ Care Needs Consultation.
How is Aid and Attendance Eligibility Determined?
- A veteran must have served at least one day of active duty during a period of war and a total of 90 days’ active duty overall. Surviving spouses of these veterans may also receive Aid and Attendance benefits.
- Individuals with dishonorable discharge are not eligible.
- VA Aid and Attendance benefits are specifically for people who require assistance from another person to complete activities of daily living.
- ADLs may include walking, bathing, meal preparation, and more.
- Eligible applicants must spend the majority of their income on care.
- Benefits are calculated, up to a national maximum, based on the percentage of income spent on care.
- The VA will determine a limit for applicants’ assets.
- Age and financial need are key factors in the determination of this limit.
Financial assistance through the VA Aid and Attendance program is not charity—wartime veterans and their surviving spouses earned this token of our nation’s gratitude. These benefits are:
- Tax free.
- Paid in addition to pensions.
- Paid directly to claimants every month by the US Treasury.
- Not subject to repayment as long as claimant is eligible.
