Amada Senior Care Lanier
Ilona Crossley, owner of Amada Senior Care Lanier, firmly believes that every senior deserves to live with dignity and in comfort. It is this conviction that guides Ilona and the rest of the team at Amada Lanier to consistently provide the highest quality of care our clients, and that has built our reputation in Gainesville, Lake Lanier, Jasper, Lawrenceville, Oakwood, Flowery Branch, Buford, Cumming, Suwanee, Braselton, Dacula, Johns Creek, and other communities.
At Amada Lanier, our home-care aides believe in going beyond typical caregiver tasks like cooking and light housekeeping to enrich the lives of our clients. To that end, it is important that we get to know the seniors we work with on a deeper level so that we can earn their trust and identify the best ways to brighten every day. We realize that when a senior is living in a home-care environment, grand gestures that upset their routines often do more harm than good. It is the small, personal touches we add to our care that make every day special and mean the world to our clients.
In addition to providing exceptional in-home care, we at Amada Senior Care Lanier also offer assisted living placement services and even support our clients in identifying the best ways to pay for care, such as long-term care insurance and veterans’ benefits. Truly, our goal is to guide clients and their loved ones through every aspect of senior care with wisdom and compassion to ensure that each senior is safe, comfortable, and fulfilled.

I absolutely could not be more pleased to be working with the professional and amazing team of caregivers and professionals with Amada Senior Care. I came across an ad for them while searching for senior care solutions for my mother and they have been the 'Dream Team' for my family. The owners and customer experience professionals always respond quickly and compassionately no matter what our challenge might be. We have been extremely pleased with the quality of caregivers who have been hired to care for my mother and appreciate their kindness and caring behavior. I would highly recommend Amada Senior Care to anyone who needs extra help at home with a loved one - whether it's full-time assistance, light chores, or just companion care. We have had an exceptional experience during an otherwise very stressful time in caring for aging parents.
Senior Housing Advising
When it is no longer ideal for a senior to live at home, our team at Amada Senior Care Lanier can help families find and finance the best assisted living environment to suit their unique needs and preferences.
We understand that the transition to a care community is often a dramatic change for our senior clients, and that their loved ones also experience a range of emotions during this time of change. When you add the emotional aspects of moving to residential care to the logistical concerns such as location, cost, and level of care provided by each of the many options in the Lanier area, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed.
By breaking this process down into smaller steps, the team at Amada Lanier can help alleviate much of the stress of assisted living placement so that you and your family can feel confident in the decisions you make.
We have long-term working relationships with nearly every care community in and around the Lanier area, so we can direct you to type of senior housing that will provide the right level of care for your loved one, including nursing homes, memory care homes, and assisted or independent living communities.
Once we know which type of community will provide the care a senior needs, we determine which individual placement within that category will be the right fit. To do this, we consider factors like location, a senior’s hobbies and style of socializing, cost, and even the aesthetics of each community.
For our clients and their families, cost is often a major concern when they begin to investigate senior housing options. Fortunately, we are experts at helping clients take advantage of a range of resources and financing options, such as long-term care insurance, veterans’ benefits, and even life insurance policies. We want each senior to have access to the highest quality of care and comfort, and many families are pleasantly surprised at how affordable this care can be with our help.
At Amada Senior Care Lanier, seniors and their families know they can trust our team to guide them to the ideal senior housing option for them. We specialize in providing referrals to care communities such as:
- Assisted living communities
- Large and small communities
- Independent living communities
- Board and care homes
- Adult family homes
- Senior care homes
- Skilled nursing facilities
- Alzheimer/dementia communities
Home Care Technology: “BeClose”
When seniors are determined to remain living in independence at home and their loved ones are concerned that this may no longer be safe, it can be difficult to find a solution that satisfies everyone. With the revolutionary BeClose home monitoring system by Amada Senior Care, however, many seniors are able to stay in their homes and their loved ones from anywhere in the world can be assured of their safety.
Each family is able to customize their home monitoring system according to their specific situation, so they never pay for products they don’t need. BeClose options such as medication monitors, indoor and outdoor security cameras, fall and emergency alerts, and even automated thermostats and door locks can help families feel sure that seniors are comfortable and safe at home. The entire BeClose system provides real-time updates to families through a secure mobile app, which they can access at any time and from any location. BeClose also notifies families of changes in a senior’s routine or behavior that may require intervention.

Veterans Assistance Programs
At Amada Senior Care Lanier, we have worked with a number of veterans and their families who were not aware they may be eligible for significant financial assistance for senior care through government programs. One program that has been especially helpful to our clients is the VA Aid and Attendance benefit, which provides funds every month to veterans and surviving spouses who require help with activities of daily living. To learn more about this and other veterans’ assistance programs, please contact Amada for a Free Veterans’ Care Consultation.
How is Aid and Attendance Eligibility Determined?
- To be eligible for this benefit, a veteran must have served a minimum of 90 days’ active duty, with at least one of those days served during wartime.
- Veterans with dishonorable discharge are disqualified from this program.
- Aid and Attendance benefits are specifically for veterans or surviving spouses who need help from another person for activities of daily living.
- ADLs may include eating, bathing, walking, and more.
- Claimants must spend the majority of their income on care.
- Benefits are awarded, up to a maximum, in relation to the percentage of income spent on care.
- Claimants’ assets must not exceed a limit determined by the VA.
- Age and financial need of applicant are key factors in this determination.
Aid and Attendance benefits from the VA may make it much easier for seniors to afford the care they deserve. These benefits are:
- Paid directly to claimants by the US Treasury every month.
- Not subject to repayment as long as eligibility persists.
- Tax Free.
