Amada Senior Care Philadelphia West Suburbs
Wayne Wrolstad, owner of Amada Senior Care Philadelphia West Suburbs, understands the importance of quality senior care as a result of unfortunate experiences within his own family.
According to Wayne, “Eight years ago, my wife’s parents were in their seventies and we began to speak with them about their senior care options. Unfortunately, shortly after that my father-in-law passed away and my mother-in-law developed Alzheimer’s. Since she is the surviving spouse of a veteran and also had some insurance coverage, we were able to move her into a really good place that specializes in managing Alzheimer’s. Over time, though, her insurance coverage ran out and we had to come up with another alternative. We found a Medicaid facility, and we’re grateful for it—but it just doesn’t match up to the kind of quality we saw at that first place we had carefully selected. If only we had acted to prepare for this eight years ago, we may have been in a better position to move her to a place best suited for her.”
“Now,” Wayne says, “When people come to me with questions about senior care, I really empathize with them. I am grateful that I now have the knowledge I need to help them and that I can provide that kind of wise advice to people in the Philadelphia area.” While Wayne and his family did not prepare for his mother-in-law’s senior care needs as they now know they should have, Wayne is happy that he is able to prevent a similar experience for his clients at Amada Senior Care in the Philadelphia West Suburbs, including, Drexel Hill, Upper Darby, Havertown, Springfield, Marple, King of Prussia, Malvern, Newton Square, and beyond.
Both Wayne and his wife have had extensive careers in healthcare, and their professional and personal experiences with senior care make them uniquely well-qualified to help you and your family ensure the very best care for your loved one.

Senior Housing Advising
At Amada Philadelphia West Suburbs, we know from personal experience how important it is to find the right senior housing environment for an aging loved one. We provide our senior housing advising services free of charge, because we want you and your family to be certain you have found the very best community to suit your unique physical, emotional, and financial needs.
One of the first things families need to consider as they begin looking into senior housing options is the level of care that a senior requires now or is expected to require in the near future. For example, if your grandmother has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, she may be best served by a home that specializes in memory care. On the other hand, if Dad is relatively independent and healthy but feeling lonely since Mom passed, he may thrive in a more social environment like an assisted living community.
We have years of experience in healthcare as well as senior housing placement in the Philadelphia West Suburbs area, so we guide clients to the new home that will provide the level of care they need. Just as importantly, we can use our in-depth knowledge of local care communities to recommend the place that will be the best fit for a senior’s ideal location, social preferences, hobbies and activity level, and other factors that influence his or her happiness.
At Amada Philadelphia West Suburbs, we never want our clients to feel their senior living options are hampered by financial concerns. We have become experts at helping seniors and their families explore every potential avenue to help them pay for the care they deserve, including veterans’ benefits, long-term care insurance, and even life insurance. Even if you aren’t currently planning on transitioning to an assisted living environment, we will be happy to help you plan so that your future options are not limited.
When home is no longer the ideal place for a senior, we at Amada will help them find a new home where they can life in safety, comfort, and happiness. There are so many options in the Philadelphia West Suburbs area to which we can refer you, such as:
- Assisted living communities

Home Care Technology
When a beloved senior begins to be limited by his or her age, it’s common for families to weigh the same options that have been available for generations: hiring a home-care aide, moving Mom or Dad in with adult children, or finding an assisted living environment where you can be sure your loved one is safe. At Amada, we have revolutionized senior care by creating a fourth option that allows seniors to live independently but assures their loved ones of their safety: remote care through our BeClose home monitoring system.
BeClose makes use of the latest technology to help families keep a “virtual eye” on seniors from anywhere and at any time. You can choose from a range of products to create the perfect system for your situation, including automated thermostats and door locks, medication monitors, indoor and outdoor cameras, and even button-free alarms to send a signal for help in the case of a fall, fire, or other emergency. Each product in the BeClose line sends real-time updates to family members through a secure mobile app, and the system also notifies families when a potentially problematic change in behavior is noted so that they can re-evaluate their loved one’s needs.
Thanks to Amada, families can now BeClose to their elderly loved ones—no matter where they are. To learn more about home monitoring technology, Click Here for a Free Consultation with a Member of the Amada Team.
