Amada Senior Care Salt Lake City
Phil Jacobson is the owner of Amada Senior Care Salt Lake City, and he and his wife, Janni, believe strongly in caring for each of their clients as if they were members of their own family. This is much more than a mission statement for the Jacobsons, but an expression of their conviction that all seniors deserve to live in safety, comfort, and dignity. Part of what motivates Phil and Janni’s dedication to providing the highest quality of senior care is their personal experiences with elder care, both in-home and at a nursing home.
When Janni’s grandmother was 90 years old, she moved in to help care for her. Janni says, “It gave my parents such peace of mind to know I was there helping her, taking her shopping, and just spending time with her.” Now, Janni is able to use her position with Amada Salt Lake City to provide personalized care for seniors whose families may be unable to do so.
Phil Jacobson had an entirely different senior care experience. He recalls, “My earliest interaction with providing care for a senior was with my grandfather. When I was a young boy, my mother would take me to visit him in the nursing home almost every week. I remember thinking, “I wonder if he likes it here.” The home provided good care, but I still wonder if my grandfather would have enjoyed the twilight years of his life even more if he had been able to live more independently and in his own home. At Amada Senior Care, we are proud to give families that option.”
At Amada Senior Care Salt Lake City, we are proud to provide personalized care to residents of Cottonwood Heights, South Salt Lake, Draper, South Jordan, West Jordan, Alpine, Riverton, and other local communities.

Senior Housing Placement and Advising
The owner of Amada Senior Care Salt Lake City, Phil Jacobson, has always wondered whether his grandfather would have had happier twilight years if he had lived in a different environment from his nursing home. Now, it is his job to make sure that other families aren’t faced with similar questions or regrets regarding their own loved ones’ assisted living arrangements.
We have seen so many positive changes in the lives of clients we have advised through the senior living placement process, and we want to help your loved one thrive in the same way. The key to our success in placing seniors in the right care community is our attention to all factors that will influence the health, safety, and happiness of potential residents.
The necessary first step towards finding the right care community for a senior is to honestly evaluate the level of care that person needs. If a client requires complex medical care or significant assistance with activities of daily living, he or she may be most comfortable in a nursing home. For others, an assisted living environment may provide them with the support they need but allow them to live more independently.
Since we have been caring for seniors in and around Salt Lake City for so long, we at Amada have experience with and deep insight into most of the care communities in this area. Once we have established the basic type of care environment that will best serve a client, we continue to narrow down their choices as we consider their unique lifestyle and activity preferences, location of choice, and other factors that will help us guide seniors to the ideal placement for them.
We understand that many seniors hesitate to consider assisted living because they fear it will present a financial burden on their families. However, we know how to help clients make use of funding options like long-term care insurance, life insurance, and veterans’ benefits that will expand the possibilities for their care.
At Amada Senior Care Salt Lake City, we specialize in referring seniors to the right community or placement for their unique needs and preferences, which may include:
- Assisted living communities
- Large and small communities
- Independent living communities
- Board and care homes
- Adult family homes
- Senior care homes
- Skilled nursing facilities
- Alzheimer/dementia communities
Remote Home Care Technology
At Amada Senior Care, we understand why many of our senior want to keep living independently at home, and we also understand that their families may no longer consider this a viable option because they have safety concerns. This often feels like a situation where no one truly wins, but we have developed the ideal solution that gives seniors independence and their loved ones peace of mind.
The BeClose home monitoring system by Amada consists of a variety of devices and products designed to keep seniors safe. Families only pay for the products they need, such as indoor and outdoor security cameras, medication monitors, automated door locks, and instant alerts for potential emergencies such as fires, falls, or intruders. Each device in the BeClose line is designed to be visually low-profile and very easy to use, and they all report back to families regularly through a secure mobile app. Not only does BeClose notify family members of a senior’s daily activities, but it also lets them know when there have been changes in routine or behavior they may need to address to ensure a senior’s continuing health and safety.
BeClose gives families the opportunity to care for seniors remotely, so you can literally “BeClose” to your loved one wherever you go. To learn more about remote care and BeClose, please contact Amada Senior Care for a Free Consultation.
