Amada Senior Care Tucson
Amina Ahmed, owner of Amada Senior Care Tucson, believes that to provide truly superior senior care it is necessary to make a client’s life more enjoyable in addition to making it safer. This is why Amina and our team at Amada Tucson make the effort to get to know each client we work with on a deeper level, because this allows us to earn their trust and find the most meaningful ways to enrich their lives.
At Amada, we also realize that senior care is not only a service we provide to our elderly clients, but one we provide to their entire family. When the focus is on a loved one who is limited by age or illness, it’s easy to overlook the emotions, worries, and stress felt by the people closest to him or her. We strive to alleviate the burdens associated with caring for a loved one and financing that care, so all families need to do is spend time with the ones they love.
As a former Amada Senior Care client, Jim is able to explain the many benefits of working with us much more effectively than we can, ourselves. We cared for Jim’s father in his home, and Jim says, “The care was phenomenal, and he enjoyed it. He liked his caregivers. He laughed with them. Without a doubt, care from Amada extended his life—and it definitely extended the quality of his life.”
Jim also comments on the peace of mind he found when he realized that his father was receiving the most compassionate and thorough care available. He says of his fathers’ Amada caregivers, “I never had a problem. I never had a question about their integrity or their interest in my father. They truly treated him like he was one of their own.” In addition to the care Amada provided for Jim’s father, we also helped Jim and his family navigate the often complex world of long-term care insurance. Jim says, “Amada is in tune with long-term care insurance companies. They know how to work with the doctors. They know how claims need to be filed and how they need to be filled out.”
At Amada Senior Care Tucson, we share Jim’s story because we feel it shows the kind of comprehensive care and support we provide for all of our clients and their families. The experiences Jim and his father had with Amada are not an exception—they are just one of many examples of how we fulfill our passion for care on a daily basis. Just as Jim says, we see our clients and their loved ones as part of a greater Amada family—and we’ll always treat you like one of our own.

Senior Housing Advising
At Amada Senior Care Tucson, our support of our senior clients and their families is not limited to in-home care or help with activities of daily living. We strive to guide our clients through all aspects of senior care, and this includes helping them find the best senior living environment for their unique needs when living at home is no longer ideal.
For seniors and their loved ones in the Tucson, the abundance of senior housing options can be overwhelming. Not only are there many, many individual facilities to choose from, there are also many different types of senior communities with which our clients may not be familiar. By breaking the senior housing placement process down into smaller, more manageable steps, we help clients maintain a clear perspective and make decisions with confidence.
One of the first things we evaluate when helping family find the right senior housing option for their loved one is the level of care the senior will need. If a senior is heavily reliant on help to complete activities of daily living or needs quick access to complex medical services, we can direct that family to a nursing home or board and care facility. For seniors who lead relatively active lives, we can recommend an assisted living community where they can still get occasional help with ADLs but will be able to live more independently.
Once we know what type of senior living community will best meet a senior’s physical needs, we then consider factors that will impact his or her emotional well-being. Would the senior prefer a large community, or something smaller and more intimate? Is there a specific geographic area to which we should limit our search? How does the senior like to socialize, and are there any activities he or she especially enjoys? Because we have worked with nearly all of the senior housing communities in and around Tucson for years, the team at Amada can direct seniors to the new home where they will be most comfortable and content.
We realize that some seniors and their families may feel that their senior housing options are limited due to financial concerns. Not only are we certain that we can help you find a new home within your budget that you will love, but we are also experts at helping families explore all avenues for paying for senior care. We can help you make use of long-term care insurance, veterans’ benefits, life insurance, and other resources to make sure you get the care you deserve.
To help families feel confident that they have found the right community for their elderly loved one, we at Amada Tucson offer our senior housing advisory services free of charge. We can provide you with referrals to all types of senior living in this area, including:
- Assisted living communities
- Large and small communities

Home Care Technology
At Amada Tucson, we know that it is impossible to employ a “one size fits all” solution for senior care. We strive to offer as many options as possible to our clients and their families so that they can find the ideal plan of care for their unique needs, abilities, and budgets. One senior care solution that we are especially pleased to offer is our remote care system, BeClose.
BeClose uses state-of-the-art technology to monitor a senior in his or her home, allowing seniors to remain independent while assuring their families of their safety. Each family is able to fully customize their BeClose system, paying only for products that will benefit them. Some of our more popular home monitoring products are automated thermostats and door locks, button-free alarms to notify help immediately in an emergency, medication monitors, and indoor and outdoor security cameras. Each BeClose product sends frequent updates to a senior’s family through a secure mobile app, which can also notify them of changes in a senior’s routine that may signal the need for more care.
With BeClose, seniors can maintain an independent lifestyle in their homes for longer than was possible for generations past, because their loved ones can keep a “virtual eye” on them from anywhere in the world. If you think BeClose may be the right senior care option for your family, contact Amada for a Free Care Needs Consultation.

How is Aid and Attendance Eligibility Determined?

- Veterans with dishonorable discharge do not qualify for this program.
- Claimants must currently need help from another person to complete activities of daily living.
- These ADLs may include meal preparation, eating, medication reminders, bathing, and more.
- Qualified applicants currently spend most of their income on care.
- Benefits are awarded in relation to the percentage of income spent on care, up to a set maximum.
- Claimants’ assets must not exceed an upper limit set by the VA.
- Age and financial need are key factors in the determination of this limit.
VA Aid and Attendance benefits may allow you or a senior you love to afford more comprehensive care and alleviate financial burdens. These benefits are:
- Paid in addition to military pensions.
- Paid directly to claimants by the US Treasury every month.
- Tax free.
