An estimated 5 million seniors are victims of elder abuse each year. According to The National Center on Elder Abuse, one in every 10 people over 60 who lives at home suffers some form of abuse, neglect or exploitation. Elder abuse is generally defined as any form of mistreatment that results in harm or loss to a senior.
