Jennifer and Adam Busch, owners of Amada Senior Care City of Chicago, are grateful for the confidence and trust that clients and their families have placed in them when it comes to providing customized in-home caregiving. They know from professional and personal experience that caregiving requires a roll-up-your-sleeves, hands-on approach. Their mission is to deliver tailored, compassionate, and dependable in-home care that enriches the lives of their clients in Chicago.
Why Us?
Amada Senior Care Chicago is A+ Certified by the Home Care Standards Bureau. Since our beginnings in 2017, we’ve become one of the largest in-home care agencies in Chicago and are in the top 15% of home care agencies nationwide. We have a highly trained and experienced team of nearly 100, including office staff and caregivers, but have the feel of a family run organization. We have also grown because of our advocacy-based mindset because we work to offer support and guidance, whether it is for our clients, their families, or our caregivers.
We also offer services many in-home caregiving agencies are not willing to do, or if they do, they charge a separate fee. We do this at no additional cost, including going to great lengths to help families understand healthcare resources available to them, and breaking down the complexities of Long-Term Care insurance (LTCi) policies as well as exploring senior housing options. We’re a local family-owned organization: our office is in Lincoln Park and we live in the Gold Coast area, where many of our clients and their families live, work and play. Owners Adam and Jennifer are a married team and very family-oriented; we like to say we are a family helping families.
The Caregiver/Client Relationship
We pride ourselves in being honorable, respectful employers. Our caregivers receive benefits, a matching 401k, paid time off, a CNA school reimbursement program, and more, and we work to ensure our caregivers feel appreciated and heard on a personal level. All of this results in high morale and caregiver retention because qualified people feel good about working with us. We are also matchmakers in how we pair up our clients with our caregivers with a mixture of experience, personality, and skills set, resulting in more consistency. We regard the important caregiver/client relationship as an integral component of the client’s safety, comfort, and emotional and mental wellbeing.
Conditions and Disease States
Our caregivers are trained, skilled, and experienced in managing a range of conditions and disease states. Among these are recovery and rehabilitation from orthopedic surgery: hip and knee replacement; shoulder and back surgery; and much more. We are also experts in personalizing home care assistance for people living with cancer, stroke and cardiovascular disease, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and dementia, hospice care, and family respite care. It is important to note that while our focus is on senior care, we also regularly provide care for adults who are not yet seniors and who may be facing condition- or disease-related challenges.
Regardless of disease state, condition, or age, working with Amada Senior Care Chicago helps reduce hospital readmissions, meaning we keep people safe at home and out of hospitals and skilled nursing/rehab facilities. We help people safely age in place. We are able to provide care from 24-hours a day, 7-days a week to just a few times a week. We understand the mental, physical, and emotional investment family members make in caring for a loved one can be overwhelming. This is especially true for those receiving hospice care. Very often, giving family a respite from the intensity of caring for a loved one in end stages is just as important as repositioning and toileting someone who is bedbound. Amada’s caregivers provide a welcome respite from the continuous care of a loved one giving family and friends time to recharge.
Why Amada Senior Care?
Families and loved ones making decisions for the right type of care and the best in-home care agency can experience stress and uncertainty. Also, for the person facing health compromises, the loss of complete independence can create fear and anxiety. That’s where we come in.
In addition to in-home care and advocacy, Amada Senior Care Chicago can help with Long-Term Care insurance claims assistance. This is a complimentary service for our clients. We break down your benefits: where, how, and when Long-Term Care insurance benefits can be used. We also handle initiating and managing the claim. Clients and their families love that Amada handles all reporting, communications with carriers, and billing. Amada Senior Care Chicago is one of only a couple agencies who can be reimbursed directly by the insurance company which takes a lot off the client’s plate.
Part of our advocacy is doing what is best for the clients and their families by providing complimentary senior housing guidance. Aging in place in the comfort of home is preferred by most while others may thrive in a community environment. Exploring the many options for senior care can be a very time intensive and difficult process. We have the understanding of different senior housing options in Chicago and helping families find the best fit for their situation. Whether it be independent living, assisted living, memory care, or skilled nursing, we can make recommendations based on condition, finances, and personal preferences.

Amada Senior Care Chicago was my choice for caregiver services. From the moment I spoke to owner Adam Busch, I felt an incredible connection, compassion, and an understanding of my elderly parent’s care needs. Adam and his team continually go above and beyond with helping me manage a difficult situation. The personal level of service is something that is truly amazing. I feel as though they have become an extended part of the family. Our primary caregiver is superb, the absolute very best! I’m thankful every day. Amada Senior Care Chicago is highly recommended
Amada made a very difficult situation much more manageable. Trying to care for a loved one at the end of her life while we lived out of state was a huge challenge, but Amada gave us peace of mind. They went above and beyond to help not just our loved one, but us as we navigated insurance, changing care needs, and coordination with hospice. And they did a great job of matching caregivers to meet the needs and personality of our loved one (we still miss LuAnn!). I would absolutely recommend Adam and his great team!
I cannot express to you how amazing Velda was to my mom and our family. I will never forget her kindness and caring spirit during these difficult years. I appreciate everything you and your team have done for us!!
The care my elderly mother receives from Amada Senior Care Chicago is wonderful and so personal. The administration's response is timely and friendly.
I inquired about services for caregiving for my mother who has mobility issues. I was concerned about leaving my mom alone at home while I started a new job and could return to my night schedule as a nurse and be there for her during the day. Amada Chicago's owner Adam spoke to my mother during the home evaluation visit and was so helpful and caring. He paid attention to the details which made my mom very happy. Adam felt that Rasheedat would be the best caregiver for my mom and he was right! My mom enjoys Rasheedat's company and is very happy receiving her help. Thank you Adam and Amada Senior Care from the bottom of our hearts.
Amada Senior Care Chicago owners, Jennifer and Adam Busch have from day one since launching their home care senior services in downtown and near north Chicago dedicated themselves to empathetic care and knowledable services. As an LTCI specialist in Chicago and throughout the country AND previously a practicing Speech Language Pathologist for Chicago-based hospitals, rehab skilled nursing, and home care, I know the complexities and consequences of a long-term extended care event to families. I referred early on one of my insurance clients who needed a care program at her home. Adam personally met with the client, connected with the family wand worked to file a claim for services with the insurance company that I had recommended and placed coverage. I would want the same level of service for my family or myself someday and the knowledge of what insurance companies need to have a claim paid. I highly recommend Amada Chicago.
My caregiver is exceptional and reliable. She is very attentive to my needs and keeps me in good health by making creative and nutritious meals. She takes me to doctors appointments, does my grocery shopping, and has a pleasant personality. She provides nice companionship. Thank you for creating a senior care program that is excellent.
My best friend had been in deteriorating health for almost two years. It had progressed to the point that it became clear she was going to need in-home care. I searched ten companies in Chicago and decided on Amada based on all the criteria I had set up and based on my conversation with Adam Busch.
Adam guided us through the last four months of my friend's life, as we transitioned from 3 days a week to 7 days a week to 24-hour care to hospice.
Never having been through this, it was uncharted water for us. I was fortunate to have Amada and Adam with us on this journey. The caregivers were exceptional -- attentive, compassionate, and patient. Importantly, there was always good communication between the caregivers from one shift to the next. And good communication with the patient and the family.
We had challenges with being in and out of hospital ERs and trying to get clear answers from the hospital staff as to discharge timing and home care needs. But Adam knew how to navigate that for us for which I will be forever grateful. And no matter what time of day or what day of the weekend I called, the Amada staff was responsive and got us the help we needed. Frankly, I don't know if Adam ever takes a day off.
Our caregivers, in particular Donielle, were wonderful. They seemed to know how to let the family have private time but were always there when needed. They are real pros.
I have since had in-home care experience with my 98-year-old stepmom with another provider (in my home state) and it only makes me more convinced that Amada in Chicago is exceptional.
Amada Senior Care always tries to go the extra mile. They do a great job with matching caregivers to the individual....which is not always an easy task! Amada seems to truly care about their clients and strives to keep the family updated and in the loop on all aspects of care. Any issues that arise are quickly addressed and handled diplomatically. They never make the client feel that they have no voice. The level of care and understanding shown to those who are often frustrated, angry or sad about the situation age has placed them in is wonderful. They put the client at ease as much as humanly possible while still meeting the needs requested by the family. I highly recommend Amada Senior Care for your loved ones.
Amada Senior Care Chicago have been my angels for the past few years! They have helped me immensely in navigating many phases of my husband's journey. They have also given my nephew guidance of his mother's care! Amada Senior Care Chicago is my extended family and I cherish their friendship!
This is an emotional decision for everyone involved, and our goal at Amada Senior Care in City of Chicago is to guide families through the placement process with wisdom, empathy and competence.
For some seniors, an assisted living community, typically offering non-complex medical services, may be a good fit. Others may require a bit more support and may be better served in a nursing home or different type of care community.
