Amada Senior Care City of Chicago

Jennifer and Adam Busch,
owners of Amada Senior Care City of Chicago, deeply appreciate the confidence and trust that seniors and their families have placed in them when it comes to providing quality in-home caregiving. They know from personal experience that caregiving is a roll-up-your-sleeves, hands-on vocation, and their goal is delivering compassionate senior in-home care that enriches the lives of their clients.

Says Adam, “I feel that my professional experiences, skill set, and love for seniors make a positive difference for Amada clients. My business experience over the last 15 years has been spent developing meaningful partnerships and resources aimed at bettering the lives of Chicagoans. My appreciation for seniors stems from the treasured bonds I had with my own grandparents. My grandparents instilled a great work ethic and sound values. They showed me the importance of respecting people, treating others with kindness, and making people feel special. Jen and I will ensure that you’ll receive the same level of care we’d provide for our own family.”

Adam’s business acumen and admiration for seniors, combined with Jennifer’s experience as a trainer and operations manager, qualify them to provide the highest standard of home care and senior community housing solutions for their clients in Chicago. He and Jennifer are dedicated to providing personalized senior in-home care and senior community housing options to their neighbors in Albany Park, Andersonville, Avondale, Bucktown, Edgewater, Gold Coast, Humboldt Park, Hyde Park, Irving Park, Kenwood, Lakeview, Lincoln Park, Lincoln Square, Little Italy and University Village, Logan Square, Loop, Magnificent Mile, North Center, Old Town, Portage Park, Ravenswood, River North, Rogers Park, Roscoe Village, South Loop, Streeterville, Ukrainian Village, Uptown, West Loop, West Town, Wicker Park, Wrigleyville, and other areas.

Says Jennifer, “Starting Amada in Chicago with Adam is an amazing adventure. I’m thrilled that we are able to work for ourselves in a way that has such a positive impact. I’m incredibly fortunate in that my job is to help seniors and their families to have more enriched lives, and I get to do this with my favorite person, my husband. My parents were both diagnosed with cancer far too young, and my two sisters and I acted as caregivers for both of them until they passed. Because we provided round-the-clock, hands-on care, I feel I’m able to relate to our wonderful caregivers on another level. People who are ready and willing to help others on such a personal level are a gift, and we strive to ensure our caregivers fully know how much we appreciate them.”

Senior Housing Advising

At Amada Senior Care City of Chicago, we understand that the transition from home to an assisted living environment can be difficult for seniors as well as for their loved ones. We are committed to guiding you and your family through this process with compassion and wisdom so that you can all feel confident you’ve made the right decision.

When you are looking for the right care community for a senior you love, it’s understandable that your first concern will be his or her physical well-being. There are many different senior housing options in the Chicago area, from independent living communities that foster active social lives for residents, to nursing homes where residents receive a higher level of help with activities of daily living and also have access to more complex medical services. We will help you honestly evaluate your loved one’s care needs so that you can find the most suitable level of care for them.

Finding the right senior housing option isn’t only about making sure a senior is safe and well-cared for. We all want our loved ones to feel comfortable, content, and fulfilled, so it’s important that we guide you to the community that will be the best fit for a senior’s personal needs and preferences. For example, would Grandma prefer a large, diverse community, or something smaller and more intimate? Are there location requirements to meet, such as proximity to family members? What kind of activities and hobbies does Dad enjoy?

Since we have worked with seniors and their families in Chicago for years, we have seen what day-to-day life in each of the senior communities in this area is really like. This insight enables us to guide you to the ideal new home for your loved one’s unique situation and personality. You or your loved one can have confidence in our in-depth knowledge of senior housing in Albany Park, Andersonville, Avondale, Bucktown, Edgewater, Gold Coast, Humboldt Park, Hyde Park, Irving Park, Kenwood, Lakeview, Lincoln Park, Lincoln Square, Little Italy and University Village, Logan Square, Loop, Magnificent Mile, North Center, Old Town, Portage Park, Ravenswood, River North, Rogers Park, Roscoe Village, South Loop, Streeterville, Ukrainian Village, Uptown, West Loop, West Town, Wicker Park, Wrigleyville, and other areas.

At Amada, we can also help families determine the best way to pay for senior housing. Many of our clients have found substantial financial support through programs and resources such as long-term care insurance, veterans’ benefits, and even life insurance policies. Before you rule out any senior living options based solely on budgetary concerns, let us make sure you’ve taken advantage of every bit of assistance you are entitled to.

Home Care Technology: “BeClose”

Senior care options haven’t changed much over the years, and most families assume their choices are still limited to in-home care, moving a senior into a family member’s home, or moving them to an assisted living facility. So many of the families we have worked with say that none of these options is ideal for their situations or budgets, which is why Amada is so proud to introduce a new choice: remote care with our BeClose home monitoring technology.

BeClose is ideal for seniors who wish to remain independent at home and also for the families that worry about them. This system consists of a range of products that don’t interfere with a senior’s daily activities but reassure their loved ones of their safety, such as indoor and outdoor cameras, button-free emergency alarms, and even medication monitors. Families have access to real-time updates through our secure mobile app, and are even notified if we detect a potentially serious change in a senior’s routine or behavioral patterns.

Essentially, BeClose allows families to keep a loving eye on seniors from anywhere in the world as the seniors maintain as much independence as possible.

If you think BeClose could be the right solution for your family, please Click Here for a Free Consultation with a Member of the Amada Team.

Amada has long been known as a leader in this industry when it comes to the use of technology to improve senior care. Another revolutionary innovation we are behind is our online portal system, Transparent, which allows families and caregivers to communicate through a simple mobile app.

If you or your senior loved one is a veteran, are you certain you have made use of all government benefits designed to help you pay for senior care? At Amada Senior Care City of Chicago, we have worked with many seniors who didn’t realize they were entitled to benefits like VA Aid and Attendance. This benefit is specifically for wartime veterans and surviving spouses who need to pay for help with activities of daily living. For more information on this and other senior care benefits for veterans, please Click here for a Free Veteran’s Care Needs Consultation.

Who is Eligible for Aid and Attendance Benefits?

1. Military Service
  • To qualify for this VA benefit, a veteran must have served a minimum of 90 days’ active duty. At least one of these days must have been served during wartime.
  • Qualified veterans must not have been dishonorably discharged.
2. Personal Care Needs
  • Claimants must currently require help with ADLs from another person.
  • ADLs (activities of daily living) may include bathing, walking, eating, medication reminders, and more.
3. Income
  • Applicant must currently spend the majority of his or her income on care expenses.
  • The amount of income spent on care is used to determine the amount of financial assistance awarded.
4. Assets
  • The VA will determine an acceptable maximum limit for applicants’ assets.
  • Age and financial need are key factors in the determination of this threshold.
How VA Aid and Attendance Benefits can Help You:

VA Aid and Attendance benefits are only one of many government programs in place to ensure that our veterans and their families have access to high-quality care. These benefits are:

  • Paid in addition to military pensions.
  • Sent directly to the claimant every month.
  • Not required to be paid back as long as claimant is eligible.
  • Tax free.
