Amada Senior Care Dallas
Eric vanGoethem, owner of Amada Senior Care Dallas, has made it his mission to help seniors live safely and comfortably for as long as they can in the comfort of their own homes. Eric deeply empathizes with families who have experienced the vulnerability and uncertainty that comes seeing a loved one battle a disease. He watched his father quickly deteriorate from Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease—a rare, degenerative, prion disease that attacks the brain and is always fatal. Says Eric, “I watched my mom become my dad’s caregiver and saw the toll that it took on her physically and emotionally while trying to still be the loving, supporting wife that she had been over nearly 40 years—it drained her for years to come. Had we known and understood the benefits of in-home caregivers at the time, I know we would have navigated that difficult time of transition more smoothly.”
Chief Operating Officer Sabrina Arredondo’s own family experiences sparked her interest in making a difference in seniors’ lives through Amada Dallas. She is inspired by her mother, who has been working as a caregiver for years in San Antonio. Hearing her mother’s many stories of feeling fulfilled by her work and witnessing her passion for being a caregiver, Sabrina developed her own enthusiasm for providing in-home care to seniors. Says Sabrina, “I just loved hearing her stories from her clients—they have experienced so much change in their lives and it was fascinating to listen.”
Amada Senior Care Dallas caregivers always endeavor to exceed clients’ expectations, meaning that daily tasks like meal preparation and light housekeeping are only a small part of what they do. Our goal at Amada Dallas is to enrich seniors’ lives by creating individually meaningful experiences whenever possible. It is vital that we are able to connect with our clients on a personal level. We understand that the transition from total independence to in-home care can be fraught with emotions for seniors, as well as for their loved ones. We are dedicated to easing this transition with patience, compassion, and friendship.

Senior Housing Advising
When seniors or their loved ones begin to feel that they require more support than in-home care and assistance with basic ADLs, it may be time to consider transitioning to an assisted living community.
This is an emotional decision for everyone involved, and our goal at Amada Senior Care in Dallas is to guide families through the placement process with wisdom, empathy, and competence.
For some seniors, an assisted living community, typically offering non-complex medical services, may be a good fit. Others may require a bit more support and may be better served in a nursing home or different type of care community.
The team at Amada Senior Care Dallas has years of experience with senior care in Dallas, Irving, University Park, Lakewood, Oak Cliff, Lake Highlands, Preston Hollow, Highland Park, Mesquite, Garland, and other nearby communities. As a result, we have deep knowledge of all local care communities and can make sure our clients find the ideal placement to suit their care needs, locations, lifestyles, and budgets.
We also rely on our extensive experience to help our clients make full use of all benefits available to them, including veterans’ benefits and Long-Term Care Insurance benefits. The costs of assisted living may intimidate many families, but we can help them make financial decisions with confidence. To further ease cost concerns, the Amada Dallas team is pleased to offer its placement services free of charge.
When in-home care is no longer ideal for our clients, we are honored to guide them through this next phase. Our specialty is referring seniors to the right community or placement for them, which may include:
- Assisted living communities
- Large and small communities
- Independent living communities
- Board and care homes
- Adult family homes
- Senior care homes
- Skilled nursing facilities
- Alzheimer/dementia communities
Home Care Technology
Many families who find themselves at odds with a senior loved one’s desire to remain as independent as possible don’t realize that there can be a middle ground between constant supervision and simply hoping for the best. At Amada Senior Care Dallas, we have developed a system called BeClose which makes use of the latest technology to help seniors maintain independence while reassuring their loved ones of their safety. The BeClose system is fully customizable and allows families to keep an eye on seniors through strategically placed and non-intrusive monitors which then report to their emails or mobile devices. This way, seniors can go about their lives in peace and their families will be notified of any routine changes that may signal a need for extra support.
