Amada Senior Care of Central Indiana
Kevin and Belinda Schluchter, owners of Amada Senior Care of Central Indiana, have extensive backgrounds in healthcare and service industry roles and share a passion for ensuring the highest quality of life and in-home care for seniors. Says Kevin, “We are humbled and honored to serve as senior care advocates and give back to the moms, dads, grandparents, veterans, neighbors, and friends who have given so much to their families, their communities and our country. We understand how families feel about caring for aging loved ones and the challenges involved in making decisions because we’ve been there.”
“We were both fortunate to grow up spending time with our grandparents,” adds Belinda, who values the special bond she developed with her grandfather living in her family home. “Having Grandpa live with us allowed me to experience firsthand the challenges that our loved ones face as they become more dependent on others over time. More importantly, I witnessed the significance of preserving the dignity of aging seniors.”
The Schluchters are committed to delivering personalized, comprehensive and compassionate in-home senior care by exceeding the expectations of clients and their families in the Central Indiana and Greater Indianapolis areas, to include communities in the counties of Marion, Boone, Brown, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Madison, Morgan, Putnam, and Shelby. Their goal – keeping seniors in their homes longer – is what sets apart Amada Senior Care of Central Indiana from other home care agencies. They define in-home senior care as going beyond traditional caregiver tasks and taking an interest in seniors’ unique needs and preferences. Kevin and Belinda believe that enriching seniors’ lives happens through personal touches like creating opportunities for them to spend time with people they love, helping them keep the garden tidy, or something as simple as learning how they like their coffee.

Senior Housing Advising
At Amada of Central Indiana, we realize that in-home care may not be enough to meet the needs of some seniors and that our clients may one day need to consider transitioning to an environment where they can get a little more support. We also realize that the prospect of moving to an assisted living or senior care community may be intimidating to our clients and their loved ones on a number of levels.
The transition to a care community may be new to you, but we have years of experience helping seniors find the ideal living situations to meet their needs in Marion, Boone, Brown, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Madison, Morgan, Putnam, and Shelby counties. We have insider knowledge of resources in Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, Greenwood, Anderson, Lawrence, Westfield, Plainsville, Zionsville, Brownsburg, and all surrounding communities. We encourage our clients to rely on our in-depth knowledge so they can feel confident that they have found the right place to enjoy their lifestyles.
When considering a care community or assisted living, it is crucial that we honestly evaluate the unique needs and preferences of each client. Some seniors may do best in a nursing home where more complex medical care is available. Others may benefit most from an assisted living community where they can live more independently and still get help with basic activities of daily living.
Many seniors and their families hesitate to consider transitioning to a care community because they are worried about costs. At Amada Senior Care of Central Indiana, we never want financial concerns to prevent our clients from enjoying safe and happy lives. We always provide our placement services for no cost, and our advisers can help families take full advantage of resources like long-term care insurance and veterans programs to help them fit superior care into their budgets.
Our goal is to ensure that each of our clients is safe and happy, whether this is accomplished through in-home care or referral to the most suitable place for this stage of their lives, which may include:
- Assisted living communities
- Large and small communities
- Independent living communities
- Board and care homes
- Adult family homes
- Senior care homes
- Skilled nursing facilities
- Alzheimer/dementia communities
Home Care Technology
When a senior insists on living independently at home but their loved ones are concerned for his or her safety, BeClose by Amada provides the perfect solution for everybody involved. BeClose is a fully customizable, home-monitoring system that consists of a range of state-of-the-art devices that allow seniors to live safely at home. An Amada senior care adviser can help you and your family choose the right combination of medication monitors, security cameras, fall alerts, and other products to help you keep a virtual eye on your loved one when he or she is home alone.
Each of our BeClose products is designed for ease of use as well as unobtrusiveness, and real-time updates are sent to selected family members through a mobile app. We can also compile reports to help detect any potentially concerning changes in a senior’s routine so that loved ones can intervene if it becomes apparent that more care is needed.

Veterans Assistance Programs
A large number of our clients in the Greater Indianapolis area of Marion, Hamilton, Hendricks, Johnson, and surrounding counties have served our nation as veterans or as the spouses of veterans. Many of them don’t realize that they may be entitled to significant financial assistance through the VA Aid and Attendance program. Aid and Attendance is specifically for wartime veterans and their surviving spouses who require assistance with activities of daily living. The veterans’ advocates at Amada can help you or your loved one take full advantage of this program and other resources so that the best care is within your reach.
Factors Determining Aid and Eligibility Eligibility:
- To qualify for these VA benefits, a veteran or veteran spouse must have served at least one day during wartime and at least 90 days total active duty.
- Veterans with a dishonorable discharge are excluded.
- Eligible applicants must require assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) from another person.
- ADLs may include finance management, bathing, walking, hygiene, and others.
- Eligible applicants must spend most of their current income on care and assistance with ADLs.
- The amount of financial assistance granted depends on the applicant’s care requirements and income.
- The applicant’s assets must not exceed an amount determined by the VA.
- This threshold is determined by the applicant’s age and financial need.
Through VA Aid and Attendance benefits, seniors have increased financial flexibility regarding their care plans and potential assisted living placement. Aid and Attendance is:
- Paid monthly and no repayment is necessary.
- Paid directly to claimants by the United States Treasury.
