Amada Senior Care Los Angeles and Pasadena
As the owners of Amada Senior Care Los Angeles and Pasadena, Patrick, Christy and Richard D. Babcock, Ph.D., have set the highest standard of care for seniors living in Pasadena, Glendale and surrounding Los Angeles areas from Beverly Hills to Santa Monica to El Segundo and beyond. As a family, the Babcocks have extensive experience supporting seniors and adults who are seeking in-home care. The Amada Los Angeles and Pasadena team is uniquely qualified to provide personalized in-home care and especially skilled in consulting with families about Long-Term Care insurance (LTCi) policies and identifying other funding sources that cover the costs of in-home care.
As experts in Long-Term Care insurance, Patrick and Christy help families distill what are often confusing policies and work to implement them so that adult and senior clients can receive their in-home care benefits as quickly as possible. They are committed to providing LTCi policy reviews to their clients at no charge. The passion Patrick and Christy have for serving as an in-home care resource extends to all aspects of senior care, including care coordination, insurance consultations and funding solutions.
Says Patrick, “My father, Amada partner Richard Babcock, Ph.D., began his 50-year career as the director of a Missouri children’s home for troubled youth. He later founded an organization to serve adults with developmental disabilities which he expanded to Colorado. I essentially grew up in the field of human services, always helping others live robust lives despite any challenges, which is my ongoing mission. Caring for seniors, and finding solutions for people who want to remain in their home, is what I do as an Amada owner and partner.”
Says Christy, “My grandmother’s sister, great Aunt Ruthie, had Alzheimer’s. My grandmother–who already lived with us—drove across the county to pick up Ruthie and her husband Marvin. We all lived under one roof. I was 15 and from that moment on I learned how to help care for someone with Alzheimer’s. It was an honor, but the other side is because we didn’t know we could have caregivers, it took an enormous toll. We also saw the additional toll it took on Marvin and my grandmother: mental, emotional, physical, and more.”
She adds, “With our Amada clients, that’s where we come in. We take over the role of logistics, support and so much more. Our highly trained and compassionate caregivers alleviate the stress and exhaustion families feel. This leaves each family member relaxed and free to be exactly who they always were with their loved one, no matter what the disease or condition: a wonderful son or daughter, a loving spouse or a grandchild. We don’t just work with the client; we work with the entire family.”
The entire caregiving team at Amada Los Angeles and Pasadena understands all the challenges that arise when navigating the senior care continuum. Seniors and their families know they can rely on team members to nurture, support and guide them through the care process. Each member of the Amada Los Angeles and Pasadena team is dedicated to doing everything we can to ensure the seniors in Los Angeles and the Greater Pasadena areas are not only safe and comfortable but are thriving. This means going above and beyond traditional caregiving duties and taking steps to ensure clients feel special every day. Our goal is to provide comprehensive senior care and support to our clients, as well as their loved ones.

This is an emotional decision for everyone involved, and our goal at Amada Senior Care in Los Angeles is to guide families through the placement process with wisdom, empathy, and competence.
For some seniors, an assisted living community, typically offering non-complex medical services, may be a good fit. Others may require a bit more support and may be better served in a nursing home or different type of care community.
The team at Amada Senior Care Los Angeles has years of experience with senior care in Pasadena, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Burbank, Glendale, and other nearby communities. As a result, we have deep knowledge of all local care communities and can make sure our clients find the ideal placement to suit their care needs, locations, lifestyles, and budgets.
We also rely on our extensive experience to help our clients make full use of all benefits available to them, including veterans’ benefits and Long-Term Care Insurance benefits. The costs of assisted living may intimidate many families, but we can help them make financial decisions with confidence. To further ease cost concerns, the Amada Los Angeles team is pleased to offer its placement services free of charge.
When in-home care is no longer ideal for our clients, we are honored to guide them through this next phase. Our specialty is referring seniors to the right community or placement for them, which may include:
- Assisted living communities
- Large and small communities
- Independent living communities
- Board and care homes
- Adult family homes
- Senior care homes
- Skilled nursing facilities
- Alzheimer/dementia communities
Many of our veterans, their spouses, and their families may not be aware of their potential eligibility for financial assistance from the government. At Amada Senior Care Los Angeles, we are dedicated to helping individuals eligible for VA Aid and Attendance benefits and other forms of financial support take full advantage of these resources.
