Amada Senior Care Marietta
Alan and Lisa Waters, owners of Amada Senior Care Marietta, are passionate about providing superior care to make the lives of clients safer and happier. Alan had experiences with in-home care for his own family when he was young, and now that he is older he is happy to “pay it forward” by coordinating personalized and compassionate care for seniors in Marietta, Kennesaw, Acworth, Smyrna, Roswell, Alpharetta, Atlanta, Woodstock, Canton, Cartersville, Douglasville, Fayetteville, Peachtree City, Stockbridge and other communities.
Alan says, “I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, and my grandmother lived in Charleston, South Carolina. As her abilities began to be limited by her age, my father and his brother were concerned that our distance would make it unsafe for her to continue to live in her home. Fortunately, they found a special home-care aide and Grandma was able to live out her days in comfort at home. I was young at the time, but now I see the value of what that meant to my dad and his brother—to know their mother was cared for and maintained her dignity. This is why Lisa and I are so proud to work with Amada Senior Care.”
At Amada Senior Care Marietta, we constantly look for ways to bring enjoyment to clients’ lives by making even the most common tasks and activities special. Our in-home caregivers form close bonds with clients as well as with their loved ones, which allows them to earn trust and meet all of their needs in a more meaningful way.
We realize that living at home is not always ideal for some of our clients. In these cases, we work closely with seniors and their families to identify, finance, and transition to the right assisted living or senior community for them. At Amada Marietta, we support our clients and their loved ones through every step of their senior care journeys.

I met Alan and Lisa several years ago and we have recommended Amada Senior Care to many families who need respite care, advice, and education. They really do CARE and 5 stars doesn't seem adequate! Give them a call; you will be glad you did!
I had the unique opportunity and blessing to have Thania as a and friend and caregiver for my mother, while she was battling bladder cancer. She only knew us for a short period of time but quickly adopted us as family from day one! She has a true godly gift to do and say all the right things at the right time. I said during my mother's Eulogy that Thania was "living proof that angels still walk among us". (and she came my mom's funeral!) She touched our hearts in a special way
Senior Housing Advising
When it begins to become apparent that a senior needs additional assistance and may no longer be thriving in a home-care environment, families must grapple with many difficult questions. Will Mom be able to get the care she needs? Will Grandpa be able to adjust to residential care? Can we even afford assisted living, and how do we begin to look for the right place?
At Amada Marietta, we have helped guide countless seniors and their families through the search for and transition to assisted living. Many of our team members have also encountered similar situations in their personal lives, so we truly understand how overwhelming this process can be. We are here to help.
When families come to us to discuss senior living options, the first step is to determine the level of care a client will need. Assisted living communities are perfect for people who are still fairly independent or only need assistance with basic activities of daily living. Residents of communities like this are able to simplify their lives and reduce their responsibilities while getting the support they need and enjoying more free time with peers and family. Nursing homes or skilled nursing facilities are a better option for seniors who need more complex medical services, but they can still provide an enjoyable social environment.
Since the team at Amada Marietta has worked with the majority of the senior communities in this area and throughout Georgia, we have unique insights into the benefits of each facility. This means that we can guide our clients to the community or home that will best suit their unique location preferences, lifestyles, and care needs.
So many of the families we work with are hesitant to even consider assisted living because they fear they won’t be able to afford the community of their choice. However, once we help them access veterans’ benefits, long-term care insurance, and other non-traditional senior care financing options, they are often surprised to learn that the quality of care they desire and deserve is well within reach.
We provide our senior living advising and referral services for no charge because we are genuinely interested in helping every senior find the right environment in which to thrive. If you or someone you love is considering transitioning to a residential care lifestyle, we can provide referrals to the following types of communities:
- Assisted living communities
- Large and small communities
- Independent living communities
- Personal Care Homes
- Adult family homes
- Senior care homes
- Skilled nursing facilities
- Alzheimer/dementia communities
“BeClose” to Your Loved One from Anywhere
By combining the latest technology with our deep understanding of our clients’ needs and challenges, Amada has developed a revolutionary system that allows families to care for their senior loved ones from anywhere in the world: our BeClose home monitoring system.
BeClose consists of a range of products and devices that help seniors live safely at home and update their loved ones on how they’re doing. Families can choose from solutions such as security cameras, medication monitors, automated door locks, and even monitors and alerts for potential emergencies like falls, fires, or intruders. Each device in the BeClose line has been designed to blend with a senior’s home environment so as not to feel intrusive and to be easy to use.
With BeClose, family members are able to use a secure mobile app to see updates on their loved one’s activities at any time and from any location. We also provide families with special reports when a change in behavioral patterns or routines is noticed, so they can evaluate whether additional care may be needed to keep their loved one safe and healthy.
BeClose allows families to watch over their loved ones remotely. This means that when you work with Amada, you can literally BeClose to your loved one—no matter where you go. To learn more about home monitoring with BeClose by Amada, please contact us for a Free Care Needs Consultation.
Programs to Assist Veterans
At Amada Senior Care Marietta, many of our clients are veterans who often struggle with the cost of care. We are fortunate that our experience has given use in-depth knowledge of programs specifically to help veterans and their loved ones afford care, such as the VA Aid and Attendance benefits. Aid and Attendance is paid in addition to retirement pay and can be a significant increase in the incomes of wartime veterans and their surviving spouses who require assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). To learn more about this and other benefits for veterans, please Click here for a Free Veteran’s Care Needs Consultation.
The Facts on Aid and Attendance Eligibility:
- To receive Aid and Attendance benefits, a veteran must have served a minimum of one day during a period of war and a total of 90 days’ active duty.
- Eligibility is denied to veterans who have a dishonorable discharge.

- Daily living activities may include walking, bathing, eating, or others.
- The majority of the applicant’s income must be spent on care.
- Up to a maximum amount, benefits are awarded according to the percentage of income spent on care.
