Amada Senior Care Milwaukee
D.R. Salerno, owner of Amada Senior Care Milwaukee, is dedicated to providing compassionate and personalized senior home care to families living in the Southeast Wisconsin communities of Mequon, Menomonee Falls, Milwaukee, Brookfield, Greenfield, Muskego, South Milwaukee, Franklin, Oak Creek, Caledonia, New Berlin, Cedarburg-Grafton, Mequon-Thiensville, Germantown, Sussex, Pewaukee-Hartland, Oconomowoc, Waukesha, West Allis, Wauwatosa, Racine-Mt. Pleasant, Burlington, Kenosha, Pleasant Prairie, Whitefish Bay, Wales, Glendale and beyond.
Says D.R., “My grandfather came to the United States in 1952. He was a tailor, and he moved here with only his skilled trade and put away enough money to bring the rest of the family here in 1955, when my mother was eight years old. From my grandfather, who developed Parkinson’s, I learned the importance of providing care for family, taking care of your own and being there when a loved one needs you. At Amada Milwaukee, we help families through the care process. We look at each of our clients as members of our family, and care for them accordingly.”
D.R’s personal history of family care and respect for elders, combined with his staff’s caregiving expertise, make them uniquely qualified to provide the highest quality home care for clients. Several staff members in decision-making roles started at Amada Milwaukee as caregivers or they had provided direct personal care to a family member. The Amada Milwaukee Senior Care team knows how important it is for families to make sure they have a qualified and trained professional taking care of mom, dad, or another loved one in the comfort of their own home. As senior care advocates, they not only have the expertise to help families needing 24-hour care or live-in care but also the knowledge to file and manage long-term care insurance (LTCi) claims that help pay for care.
At Amada Senior Care of Greater Milwaukee, we have learned what it takes to serve a senior’s care needs. While it is essential to send qualified and experienced caregivers, it’s of equal importance for Amada Milwaukee caregivers to express care and compassion in serving the senior’s unique needs as well as support the senior’s family while care is provided.
We understand that it takes a tremendous amount of trust to invite a stranger into your home and rely on them for personal care for yourself or someone you love. At Amada Milwaukee, we work hard to make sure we earn the trust each client and family places in us on a daily basis. Whether we are caring for a senior in his or her home, helping a family select the best assisted living community for their loved one, or empathizing with a client’s emotional journey through their senior home care experience, it is our mission to ease burdens and enrich the lives of every person with whom we work.

After our father became widowed, my sisters and I struggled to find quality caregiving for him. Naturally, we wanted the best in-home senior care around provided by a trained and competent person who not only is passionate about being a caregiver but also a congenial companion. That caregiver is Lisa, who was paired with our family by Amada Milwaukee and is all we were asking for and more! Our father looks forward to Lisa's visits. We also have experienced excellent service from all members of the Amada Milwaukee team. We always get a fast response time and they meet our questions with patience and understanding. Our family highly recommends Amada Senior Care to anyone looking for top-quality care for a loved one.
My aunt has been very pleased with the quality of the service that she's received. Her recovery after rehab has been fantastic. This is such a great thing so thank you so much!
I would like to thank you for everything from the bottom of my heart. You are very thoughtful. Glad to be part of your team.
Senior Housing Advising
At Amada Milwaukee, we have extensive experience as senior housing advisers, and we can guide you and your family through the selection process so that you are certain you have made the right decision for your loved one. We also help seniors and their families with the transition to senior living, and continue to check in with them to make sure they are feeling content and settled.
Since we have worked with most of the senior housing communities in the Milwaukee area, we have a “behind the curtain” view that seniors and their families are not likely to see during the normal tour. It is this knowledge that allows us to direct seniors to the new home that will best meet their physical, emotional, and financial needs. We have an insider’s knowledge on available resources in Cedarburg-Grafton, Mequon-Thiensville, Germantown, Menomonee Falls, Sussex, Pewaukee-Hartland, Brookfield, Oconomowoc, Waukesha, Milwaukee, West Allis, Wauwatosa, New Berlin, South Milwaukee, Oak Creek, Franklin, Racine-Mt. Pleasant, Caledonia, Greenfield, Burlington, Kenosha, Pleasant Prairie, Whitefish Bay, Wales, Glendale, and Muskego.
The first thing to decide when pursuing a move to senior housing is the level of care a senior will require. There are so many different types of senior communities in the Milwaukee area, from nursing homes that offer extensive support with activities of daily living and access to complex medical services, to independent living communities where help is still available when needed but the focus is more social. Your Amada adviser can direct you and your family to the type of home that will be best your unique situation.
At Amada, we believe senior living should not only keep a person safe and healthy, but that it should also enrich their lives. It’s important to us that we help seniors find the new home where they can be happiest and most comfortable, and to do this we need to understand their personal needs and preferences. Factors such as the size of a senior community, social opportunities, location, lifestyle, and even aesthetics play a significant role in finding the ideal senior housing environment.
Another key factor in many families’ selection of an assisted living or senior housing community is the cost. Fortunately, we are experts at senior care financing, and we can help you and your family take advantage of all options to help make care more affordable, such as long-term care insurance, life insurance, veterans’ benefits, and more. You might be surprised at how affordable the community of your choice is after consulting with us!
The transition to assisted living necessarily comes with a range of emotions for seniors and for their loved ones, but is so much easier with the proper guidance. At Amada Milwaukee, we can help you and your family find the best senior living option, which may include:
- Assisted living communities
- Large and small communities
- Independent living communities
- Board and care homes
- Adult family homes
- Senior care homes
- Skilled nursing facilities
- Alzheimer/dementia communities
Home Care Technology
Many families believe that the only options when a beloved senior begins to be limited by age are in-home care or moving in with a family member or to an assisted living community. In the past, this may have been the case, but thanks to Amada Senior Care, there’s now another option: remote care through our BeClose home monitoring system.
BeClose allows seniors to remain living independently in their homes longer while their loved ones are confident in their safety. Each BeClose system is customized to suit a family’s particular needs, and clients can choose from products like button-free fall and emergency alarms, automated door locks and thermostats, medication monitors, and even indoor and outdoor security cameras. The entire system is designed to be unobtrusive in a senior’s home environment, so they should notice few changes to their daily lives, and BeClose sends real-time updates to their families through a secure mobile app. With BeClose, families are also alerted when a change in a senior’s behavior or routine is detected so they can re-assess their senior care needs.
If you are a senior who is determined to remain at home, or a family member concerned for a senior’s safety at home, BeClose might be the ideal solution for you. To learn more about remote care technology, Click Here for a Free Consultation with a Member of the Amada Team.
