Home Care Benefits for Veterans in Monmouth

Funded by the VA Aid & Attendance and Homemaker Home Health Aide Programs

The Veterans Administration offers many programs to veterans and their surviving spouses, so they receive the health care services they deserve, including home care for activities of daily living, respite care and help around the house such as light housekeeping and laundry. Amada Senior Care of Monmouth is proud to be a licensed VA provider for those who served our country.

We work closely with the VA Healthcare System’s excellent team of social workers and case managers and are proud to be an approved provider. At Amada Monmouth, we work hard to make sure eligible veterans get every care hour of services and benefits they are entitled to for their dedicated military service.

You or your senior loved one may be eligible for a variety of different benefits that we can help you verify and apply for. Call us today at 732-400-5434 to learn more about how we honor and support veterans!

The Homemaker and Home Health Aide (HHA) Program: Home Care Assistance for Veterans

Trained professionals provide personalized care in the home to meet each veteran’s specific needs, including activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, bathing, mobility, toileting, medication reminders, as well as housekeeping tasks like laundry and meal preparation, along with transportation to the VA and other appointments or errands. Personalized care provides compassion and comfort that benefits the physical and mental health of veterans, allowing them to age safely and joyfully in their own homes.

Respite Care: Reliable Professional Care for Your Loved One so You Can Take Care of Yourself

Amada Senior Care of Monmouth and the VA understand the toll that taking care of a loved one can take! In an effort to reduce family caregiver stress and burnout and to support the health and well-being of both veterans and their caregivers, the VA offers its Respite Care Program in which a professional caregiver can relieve a family member on a regular basis. During that time, the family member can take a well-deserved break or attend to other household matters, confident that the senior veteran or veteran’s spouse is in the capable, trusted hands of an Amada caregiver.

VA Aid and Attendance: A Benefit Program for Veterans and Their Surviving Spouses

This program provides additional funds to qualified veterans or their surviving spouses for home care. Aid and Attendance can used alone or in conjunction with the HHA Program to achieve more comprehensive care for a veteran, as it enhances the senior vet’s monthly pension from the VA to help cover in-home care costs.

At Amada Monmouth, we are happy to provide a complimentary Veteran’s Care Needs Consultation that determines a veteran’s eligibility and provides assistance if the vet needs to enroll in the VA Healthcare System.
