Amada Senior Care Nashville
Kevin and Kelly Fehr, owners of Amada Senior Care Nashville, know from personal experience the impact quality in-home care can have on seniors and their families. Kevin says, “One of the most influential people in my life was my grandfather, who lived to be 102 and spent eight years with round-the-clock in-home care. His caregivers were like angels by his bedside. Not only did this benefit my grandfather, but it allowed my mother and uncle to be a true daughter and son, instead of caregivers. It was such an amazing experience.”
Kelly adds, “Pop-Pop had a wish. He wanted to stay in his home—the home he had built himself in the ’50s. Through in-home care, he was able to see that wish come true.”
At Amada Senior Care in Nashville, we understand how families feel about caring for aging loved ones because we’ve been there. As Kevin says, “We want your family to be a part of ours.” We are dedicated to making each senior’s life not only as safe as possible, but also as pleasant as possible. We accomplish this by going beyond traditional caregiver tasks like housekeeping and meal preparation to enrich clients’ lives in the ways that are most meaningful to them and make every day special. It is this kind of personalized care upon which we have built our reputation in Nashville, Franklin, Brentwood, Smyrna, Murfreesboro, La Vergne, Hendersonville, Gallatin, and other communities.
If home-care is not the best option for your beloved senior, our Amada team will help you explore all senior housing options until you are certain your loved one is exactly where he or she needs to be. We can also help you understand the many resources and options available to help you pay for senior care. We’ll even sit with you and fill out the claims and paperwork.
Our goal at Amada Nashville is to walk with seniors and their loved ones through every step of their senior care journey. Because when you’re a part of the Amada family, we’re all in this together.

I just wanted to share what a wonderful experience it was to go through the initial set up process of applying for assistance with Amada Senior Care. Although my mom ultimately determined that it was a little premature to actually use her benefits for senior care at this time, it was such a pleasure to meet and go through the set up process with the caring people at Amada! When your parents are blessed to reach their advanced years, there are so many concerns and worries regarding their health and safety and welfare. Not to mention having no experience with any senior care options previously, we had lots of questions and trepidations regarding what the best plan would be to provide for our 85 year old mother. Kelly Fehr was so very helpful and understanding. She reassured me that they would help with all of the necessary paperwork and would find the perfect fit for finding the best care giver. When it was decided that mom wasn't really ready for the service, Kelly was so gracious and empathetic toward our timing issue and reassured us that all we had to do was call her back when the time was right for mom to utilize senior care. That was such a comfort and I'm sure it would be helpful for others to know this is the level of caring that Amada provides for clients and their families. Also, I would like to mention what a delight Bob Schricker was to deal with, as well, in initiating our assessment of mom's level of care. He took every effort to make our in home visits with mom and dad happen according to their convenience, he patiently listened to them, showed them respect and genuinely made them feel at ease. He is certainly an asset and as a former veteran, he and my dad hit if off right from the start. Thank you again, Amada, for your careful direction in an area full of uncertainty and for making it such an easy process to navigate and a pleasantly memorable experience. Gina S.
Kevin and his team are great! The staff is friendly, the caregivers have been great, and they even helped with my dad's long term care policy! Would highly recommend to anyone asking!
Senior Housing Advising
At Amada Senior Care Nashville, we are committed to guiding families through every aspect of senior care. This means that if home is no longer the best place for a senior to live, we will work with them to find the ideal senior living placement. As owner Kelly Fehr says, “Whether it’s an assisted living community, skilled nursing home, or another senior living option, we’ll make sure seniors are exactly where they need to be.”
There are a number of reasons our clients and their families may consider the transition to a senior living community, and these reasons often guide us to the right type of facility for them. Some seniors are looking to simplify their lives and expand their social options, and they may do best in an assisted living or retirement community where they will still have access to help with activities of daily living. For other seniors, who need a higher level of assistance and easy access to medical services, a nursing home might be the best option.
We at Amada have formed working relationships with most of the senior living and residential care communities throughout the Nashville area, which gives us unique insight into the lifestyle afforded by each place that most families won’t have. And because we make it a point to get to know the seniors we work with as well as their loved ones, we can help them find the community that offers the location, social opportunities, activities, and level of care ideal for them.
Many of the families we work with express concerns about the cost of assisted living, and simply aren’t sure how they are going to pay for the care their loved one deserves. We are experts at helping families understand all payment options available to them, such as long-term care insurance, veterans’ benefits, and even life insurance policies, and we’ll help you find the best way to fund senior care.
At Amada Nashville, we are confident that we can help the senior you love find the very best new home. We specialize in providing referrals to:
- Assisted living communities
- Large and small communities
- Independent living communities
- Board and care homes
- Adult family homes
- Senior care homes
- Skilled nursing facilities
- Alzheimer/dementia communities
Home Care Technology
When a senior begins to struggle with activities of daily living, most of the families we work with assume that their only options are moving Mom or Dad in with them, bringing in a home-care aide, or moving their loved one to an assisted living community. For many families, none of these options are ideal—especially when seniors want to remain in their own homes. Thanks to Amada Senior Care, there’s now a new option for senior care: home monitoring with BeClose.
BeClose provides an opportunity for families to remotely care for a senior loved one from anywhere, at any time. Families choose from a range of products so they can customize their BeClose system for their unique needs. With products such as indoor and outdoor cameras, automated thermostats and door locks, medication monitors, and fall or emergency alerts, seniors can maintain their independence while their families are assured of their safety. The BeClose system provides real-time updates and notifications to family members through a secure mobile app, and will even let families know if a potentially troubling change in routine or behavior is detected.
With BeClose, families can make sure their beloved seniors are safe and comfortable—whether they live across town or on the other side of the world. To learn more about remote care possibilities with Amada, please contact us for a Free BeClose Consultation.
Veterans Assistance Programs
Our team at Amada Senior Care Nashville is determined to make sure each of our clients has taken advantage of every resource available to help them afford the best care. For the many veterans we are honored to care for, the VA Aid and Attendance benefits program can provide the funds they need to secure more help with activities of daily living or move to the community of their choice. To learn more about this program and other benefits for veterans, contact Amada for a Free Veterans’ Care Needs Consultation.
How is Aid and Attendance Eligibility Determined?
- Aid and Attendance benefits are specifically for wartime veterans and their surviving spouses who need help with ADLs.
- To qualify, a veteran must have served at least one day of active duty during wartime, a total of 90 days’ active duty, and must not have a dishonorable discharge.
- Claimants of this benefit must require help from another person for activities of daily living.
- ADLs may include help due to cognitive impairment, eating, walking, bathing, and more.
- Claimants must spend most of their income on care.
- Benefits are awarded, up to a maximum, based on the percentage of income spent on care.
- The VA determines a maximum limit for claimants’ assets on a case-by-case basis.
- Determination of financial assets will depend upon age and financial need.
If you are a wartime veteran or the surviving spouse of a wartime veteran, VA benefits could significantly increase the level of care you can afford. These benefits are:
- Paid directly to claimants every month by the US Treasury.
- Paid in addition to military pension.
- Not subject to repayment as long as claimant is eligible.
- Tax free.
