Accredited VA Provider and Reliable Resource for Long-Term Care Insurance Claims
According to Greg Johnson, owner of Amada Senior Care Norman, delivering the highest-quality care for a senior client is only part of what the Amada Norman caregiving team does. Just as important is providing consistent support to the client’s family and to our compassionate caregivers themselves. “No one is promised the next week, the next day, the next hour,” says Greg. “I am passionate about seniors and want to lift them up, and at the same time add jobs to my community. Countless cultures around the world revere their elderly, and this is something my Amada caregiving team, and I practice all the time.”
The Amada Difference is our commitment to enriching lives and it has earned Amada Norman its reputation for delivering superior senior care in Blanchard, Chickasha, Duncan, Lawton, Lindsay, Marlow, Newcastle, Norman, Oklahoma City, Tuttle, and its surrounding communities.
Hailing from Moore, Greg grew up thinking he would be a doctor but a dual interest in sports won out as he became a winning member of the NFL. A career in medical device sales followed, as did caregiving responsibilities for his father and two cousins. In addition, Greg provided the benefit of his experience when his best friend’s mother had cancer.
“At end of life—or in a time of crisis, I want to make sure our beloved elders have somebody there. A senior loved one losing independence to any number of conditions can create a feeling of shock, fear, and other challenging emotions for the family. Someone knowledgeable needs to be there listening and advocating. As a boutique senior care company, every one of our clients gets special, individualized attention. We are genuinely invested. That’s our mission.”

Amada senior care has been outstanding for us. Me and my mother, both have physical disabilities and require assistance for specific things. Everything from helping to do some light cleaning, taking out the trash and also hoping to cook some very yummy meals. Our caretaker, Brenda help us make coconut shrimp today. My mother sat and ate a whole bunch of them and enjoyed it. I am so thankful to have Amada senior care. Five stars is not enough in my opinion!!!!!!!!!
Amada has great service and everyone here is so nice. My mom has a caretaker named Mary and she has become my moms best friend. It makes our families so happy knowing mom is being taken care of and loved. We are so blessed to have found Amada!
I found Amada after dealing with a different home health agency for many months and being completely frustrated. Amada provided me peace of mind when traveling out of the country from more than a week. James, Cary, and Christie worked tirelessly with me to ensure that my 95-year-old mother would be well taken care of… They not only met my expectations. They exceeded them with the caregivers that my mother has now developed relationships with thank you from the bottom of my heart. No further… Amada is the place to use!
Greg and his entire team at Amada Senior Care were outstanding providing care for my mother. I can not sing their praises enough. They are kind, honest and caring group of people. Anyone needing care for their loved one should absolutely give them a call. I want to thank each of you for the help and care you gave my mother, I was able to keep her home with me until God called her home. I would not have been able to do it without each of you!! Thank you!!!
My mom had a stroke in January of 2022. This left her with difficulty walking and mobility issues causing a need to help with lifting and transferring her. After a year of using another company with results we weren't satisfied with, mom and I decided to call other companies to make a change. Greg and Kristi visited us at mom's house and we very quickly knew we'd be hiring Greg and the Amada company. This has been the best decision we've made in mom's care. Qemar, Emmy, Naijah, Brandy and Dee have all taken incredibly good care of mom and she always looks forward to spending time with them. They have been so gentle and encouraging and always take an active role in knowing what mom wants to watch on TV, doing crossword puzzles and encouraging her exercises. Greg himself has taken care of mom and was absolutely amazing and that shows the kind of man he is when as the owner of the company, he will take care of the seniors under his company's care. My mind is at ease when I'm at work, knowing my mom is in the best of hands. We would recommend Amada 1000% percent to everyone and mom feels as though she's part of an extended family.
Amada Senior Care provided excellent service for my father during his recovery from surgery. The caregivers were knowledgeable, professional, and caring, and they helped him get back on his feet quickly. The staff at Amada Senior Care were also incredibly helpful in coordinating his care and ensuring that he had everything he needed. I would highly recommend this company to anyone in need of senior care services.
This is an emotional decision for everyone involved, and our goal at Amada Senior Care in Norman is to guide families through the placement process with wisdom, empathy, and competence.
For some seniors, an assisted living facility, typically offering non-complex medical services, might be a good fit. Others may require a bit more support and may be better served in a nursing home or a different type of care community.
