She was so knowledgeable, kind and compassionate as she helped us navigate the next steps in my friend’s journey. She took time to really get to know my friend as well as her family and close friends who were tasked with making some very difficult and important decisions. Cambi guided us every step of the way, ensuring that we had the information we needed but never ever overstepping or pushing us to do any specific thing. I honestly do not know how we would have gotten through this without her by our side. Although my friend passed away shortly after the stroke, we will be eternally grateful for Cambi and Amada. I cannot recommend them high enough to anyone looking for resources and/or facilities for the senior in their life.

In late February, I fell in my home and broke my femur. I spent two days in hospital and 5 days in rehab in a nursing home in Forest Hills. I realized that I would get better faster if I were home and decided to hire someone to care for me as I live alone and have a dog to care for. One evening at the nursing a gentleman came and told me about Amada Senior Care. He was articulate, personable, and kind and I knew immediately that I would hire someone from Amada. I had a wonderful caregiver. She did more than care for me. She took care of keeping the house tidy and even walked the dog. I was very lucky that Mr Mercuro came to Trabuco Care that evening and introduced me to Amada. I highly and enthusiastically recommend Amada. This Health Care Company exceded my expectations and without hesitation I shall turn to them when I am ill again.
The Senior care we received was very good and the owner Angelo was incredibly kind and caring and compassionate. He went out of his way to make sure my family was in good hands with care our mother received and he also assisted us with paperwork and billing for our mothers LTC company which was very hard to deal with. Amada has been very helpful in finding good, responsible care givers for our 96 and 99 year old parents. Catalina was able to find care givers for us in an emergency, and worked all hours of the day and night to make sure we had someone appropriate for our parents’ needs. Starla is now staying with our parents weekdays and has done a remarkable job at listening to them, assisting them where needed, letting them do things on their own when possible, and observing things that need to be handled in order to assure our parents a safe, comfortable and stimulating living environment. We are very grateful and would recommend Amada Senior Care.
Veronica has been with us for many months taking care of my husband Mike, and she is compassionate with him, careful, thorough, and is great with me, too. She helps around the house, cooks meals when asked, and communicates very well. She has a good sense of humor and a positive attitude. She arrives when scheduled and stays late when possible if I can’t get home in time. I couldn’t ask for a better caregiver.
When my aunt started having memory problems and became at risk for wandering, our family had to accept the fact that we would not be able to continue caring for her at home. The team at Amada Orange County were incredibly compassionate to her and our family. They found the ideal assisted living facility for my aunt to be comfortable and safe and feel happy by having the sense that people truly cared for her. We are completely pleased with the care, competence and compassion of both Amada as a company and with the caregiver they provided. My mother loved her and we felt totally safe and happy with her care. My mother had suffered a stroke and had dementia and aphasia and and we had this caregiver from day one of need through the last 8 years of her life. It was a complicated journey and I can’t thank Amada enough for their care and concern every time I called and for the amazingly sweet, smart and strong caregiver we had through them. I recommend them often and would only call them if any future need arises.
If your senior has a very minimal situation and needs only basic care, then this service might be able to handle it. But in my experience they were in over their heads from the onset but were just too greedy to admit they were failing. All they wanted was insurance money. Their caregivers are generally well intentioned, but by no means trained to deal with anything other than physical illness, but not physical illness combined with mental illness. Unfortunately management did not understand or care about the upfront advice they were given regarding the implications of mental illness, and instead plowed ahead for months without accepting responsibility for lacking skills in the area which mattered most.
