Amada Senior Care Phoenix
Kimberly Perkins-Akers and Kris Patmos are the owners of Amada Senior Care Phoenix and longtime friends. Kris says, “We’ve been through many things together, including church ministry, raising our children, and now caring for our aging parents.” Just as Kimberly and Kris have been able to support each other as their families entered the world of senior care, they and the Amada Phoenix team want to support you and your family with all of your senior care questions and needs.
Since Kimberly and Kris have both sought senior care for their own parents, they understand how important it is to ensure the highest quality of care for the people you love, and that this can have a dramatic impact on seniors as well as their family members. Kimberly says, “Like many sons and daughters, I am part of what we call ‘the sandwich generation.’ We have children at home, careers, spouses we invest our time in, and meanwhile, we are also taking care of the needs of our aging parents. As I have journeyed with my parents as the oldest daughter in our family, I have found freedom in having others come in and help my parents with food preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, exercise, and other activities of daily living. Now, when I’m with my parents, I am with my parents—I can be the daughter I want to be and enjoy the time I have with them.”
Our goal at Amada Phoenix is to care for your loved one with the same level of dedication and compassion we would expect for our own parents and grandparents so that you can find peace in knowing they are not only safe, but also comfortable and content. We honestly take pleasure in seeing our senior clients smile, and seek to enrich their lives by offering personalized care and companionship.
At Amada Senior Care Phoenix, we proudly provide comprehensive senior care services to families in Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Sun Lakes, Higley, Apache Junction, Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, and other nearby communities. This means that in addition to providing quality in-home care, we also help families with assisted living placement and even finding the best way to pay for a loved one’s care.
As Kimberly and Kris know from experience, it can mean the world to have a friend by your side as you navigate senior care. This is what we strive to be for our clients at Amada Senior Care Phoenix.

Senior Housing Advising
At Amada Senior Care Phoenix, we know how difficult it can be to come to terms with the fact that home is no longer the ideal place for a beloved senior. We also know that the proper guidance and support can make the transition to assisted living a smoother, more positive experience than many of our clients thought possible.
Many of the families we work with think of assisted living as a way to safeguard a loved one who has grown limited by his or her age. Of course, this is true—but we would be doing seniors a grave disservice if we only focused on the care aspects of assisted living.
Whether your senior loved one requires the significant help with ADLs and quick access to medical services that a nursing home provides, or is able to thrive in an independent living setting, it is just as important that we identify the new home where he or she will be happiest.
Since the team at Amada Phoenix has years of experience with both healthcare and senior care in this area, we can direct you to the community best suited to your loved one’s unique needs and desires. Once we have established the level of care he or she will need, we’ll then ask questions designed to give us a good idea of what he or she wants. Would Grandma prefer a large community, or something smaller and more intimate? Does Uncle Marcus prefer an urban or more rural setting? How does Mom like to socialize? Are there specific activities or hobbies that Dad hopes to engage in? It is through this approach that we are able to refer seniors to the care community that will provide the most fulfilling lifestyle for them.
So many of the families we work with express concerns about the costs of assisted living, and fear that they will not be able to afford the community of their loved one’s choice. We at Amada Phoenix are experts in senior care financing, and we can direct families to non-traditional sources of funding like long-term care insurance, veterans’ benefits, and even life insurance policies. We are confident that we can help you and your family find the very best solution for your senior care needs.

- Assisted living communities

“BeClose” with Home Care Technology
Recognized as leaders in the use of technology to improve senior care, Amada is proud to offer a revolutionary system that allows seniors to live independently at home while assuring their loved ones that they are safe.
Our BeClose remote care system is a customized combination of state-of-the-art monitoring devices that families can install in a beloved senior’s home. Families pay only for the products that will benefit them, such as medication monitors, fall alerts, automated door locks and thermostats, and indoor and outdoor cameras. The devices in our BeClose system are all discrete, so seniors don’t feel as though they are always being watched, and they all report to loved ones through a secure mobile app. BeClose will also alert families if a change in behavior patterns or routine is noted in a senior, so that they may re-assess their care plan as necessary to ensure their loved one’s safety.
With BeClose, seniors are able to maintain an independent life for longer than was previously possible, and their loved ones can check in on them at any time, from anywhere. If you think BeClose may be the right solution for your senior care needs, please contact Amada for a free consultation.
Veterans Assistance Programs
At Amada Phoenix, we firmly believe that no senior should need to compromise their care because of financial concerns—especially our military veterans. This is why we have become experts at helping our clients and their families take advantage of every program or benefit possible to help reduce their payments for senior care. For veterans, one program that has been especially is the VA Aid and Attendance benefit, which provides financial assistance to wartime veterans and surviving spouses who need help with ADLs.
