Homemaker and Home Health Aide (HHA) Program: Home Care Assistance for Veterans

The HHA Benefit allows trained professionals to provide personalized care in the home to meet each veteran’s specific needs, including activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, bathing, walking, toileting, and medication reminders, as well as housekeeping tasks like laundry and meal preparation. Such care provides compassion and comfort for the positive mental health of our veterans, allowing them to age in their own homes with grace and safety.

Respite Care: Trusted Professional Care for Your Loved One so You Can Take Care of Yourself

Amada Senior Care and the VA understand the toll that taking care of a loved one can take! In an effort to reduce family caregiver stress and burnout. As a way to support the health and well-being of both veterans and their caregivers, the VA offers the Respite Care Benefit that lets a professional caregiver take over for a family caregiver on a regular basis. During that time, the family member can take a well-deserved break or attend to other household matters, confident that the senior loved one is in the capable, trusted hands of an Amada caregiver.
